The whole room was bright and themed with the fact air-con was turned off, draft from the windows, for instance.

The breakfast was particularly nice, the hotel was QUIRKY and clean. The room was basic but always kept clean and available in spite of the fact air-con was turned off.

Our room was comfy and provided with air-con, a non working phone plus draft from the windows. Handy location - a short walk to everywhere we needed.
Some of the staff were very unhelpful.

during my stay, I appreciated the warmth of the reception and the wonderful breakfast, making my mornings more enjoyable, and with Burgess Park just a short stroll away, I loved the peaceful walks among nature right after exploring the vibrant South London Gallery that was only a few minutes away.

It's really far from everything and you have the feeling that you're only there to get them money. They're polite and stuff but don't try to ask them for a favor or anything... They'll say yes, but they won't do anything to fix the problems you might have... For instance, don't ask them to wake you up at a certain time 'cause your waker is broken, they'll let you sleep... Fortunately, there might be some very loud and messy works going on in your corridor (and starting at 8.30am) so you don't need any waker at all... When you go to complain about the hammer and tools symphony that's being conducted two meters from your room, they say that it's to improve the 'comfort' in the hostel... So weird to hear that when you juste want to sleep. Electricity works with your key card, and doesn't work so well. Hot water was missing that day, 'because of the work in the corridor' they said, so no shower for me that morning... No refunding, no percentage and no real apologies about the the noise, the water or the electricity... Peckham lodge: To avoid if possible.

The room and the bathroom were really new and clean. The nearest underground station (Peckham rye) was at 5 min walking and from there 10 min to London Victoria or the bus stop is in front of the hotel (we used the underground because we had the daily ticket). The prices of the shops in the area (especially food) were lower than the center of London. The breakfast was simple and good.

I loved starting my mornings with the delicious breakfast and the cozy lounge where I could grab a book and relax. The seating area in the garden was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and the patio offered such a chill vibe to sip a drink. The only downside was the thin walls, which let in a bit more noise than I'd like, but it didn't ruin my stay. 😊

Communication to city center is quite good.
Otherwise, rooms are very cozy and quality is very poor.

The staff we saw were helpful & courteous. The breakfasts were adquate & kitchen staff were very good. Lodge was close enough to transport & city for our needs. We were quite happy there & would probably come again when we are in uk next. Your renovations were going well & we hope they will be worth the effort hen finished. PS. Was the lodge originally a hospital??
That the bathroom/toilet next to room 7a had no latch so anyone could burst in. The shower curtain was wrecked so the floor was often wet. Bathtub was slippery, my husband fell over in it. Everyone banged the main door to this area. We suggest that you also spray for bedbugs as we were bitten a number of times.

I had a great time here! The room was quirky but comfortable, and I loved the artisanal pizza options at the restaurant. Not to mention the free WiFi that worked perfectly for my needs.

My room had no window and the air conditioner was broken, it was really hot and hard to breath. I had no help from reception, the breakfest was terrible. I definitly do not recommend this hotel to anybody.

I slept well
The internet connection is very bad, drops out every minute (if I was able to connect at all!). Also the breakfast was very poor, there was only bread available with mermalade. No eggs, no beacon, no orange juice. This is not a continental breakfast! No options to upgrade the breakfast to an english one. Because of the bad internet and the bad breakfast I won't book the Peckham Lodge anymore...
